In this workshop you will create a beautiful 5” x 8” textural tapestry using unconventional materials and found objects. This class introduces frame loom weaving techniques, encouraging exploration of texture, color, and a variety of materials. Students will learn the fundamental elements of weaving while encouraged to play and experiment with unusual fibers, objects found in nature, and other sacred objects.

WHAT TO BRING: Students are free to bring any small objects they would like to incorporate into their weaving.

MATERIALS INCLUDED: Looms, warp thread, felted Merino wool, Merino wool roving, acrylic yarn in a multitude of colors, natural fibers and found objects, stones, feathers, scissors, plastic needles, dowel rods.
