Taking our current and past members’ input into account, the Board of Directors has opted to hold the festival in Durango, Colorado beginning in 2026. Durango provides the opportunity to reimagine our festival and plan its future growth. However, for this first year, the Board and several survey respondents feel that we should keep things simple and focus on the elements that our visitors value. So, we plan to recruit quality instructors to deliver classes and workshops, and we will continue to provide free demonstrations throughout the weekend.

The Festival Includes:

• An Outstanding regional animal and other natural fiber market featuring juried artist vendors offering natural fibers, yarns,
  finished products, and fiber arts-related tools and equipment, as well as other natural fiber creations.

• Fiber Animals including sheep, alpacas, goats, llamas, and more.

• Workshops focused on fiber arts techniques delivered by outstanding instructors.

• Demonstrations of spinning, dyeing, sheep shearing and many other fiber arts-related skills.
